Art on the Atlanta BeltLine
Art on the Atlanta BeltLine began in 2010 as a way to encourage people to explore the Atlanta BeltLine in an interim state – after rails were removed, but before concrete was poured. All of the exhibitions and programming are free and open to the public, making art accessible to numerous communities around the Atlanta BeltLine. Participation in the exhibition also showcases the work of established and emerging artists from Atlanta and beyond.
Now, spanning roughly twelve miles of the 22-mile corridor on the west, south, and east sides of Atlanta, Art on the Atlanta BeltLine is the largest temporary public art exhibition in the South. The linear gallery represents artists from across Atlanta, the nation, and the world and in a variety of mediums: sculpture, murals, dance, music, theater, photography, fashion, film, and more. AoAB has commissioned over 450 unique works of art and supported over 1500 artists, viewed by nearly 2.2 million visitors a year.
